First Couple Days of Vacation

We arrived at our hotel in Carlsbad, California on Sunday around 2pm. Our friends from Flagstaff were already here from the day before and we met up and headed to the beach. The kids had fun playing in the sand and the waves for the first time (in the ocean)

Monday (today) we went to Legoland. It was fun, but not overly impressive. We got great discounts for being a homeschool family and coming this time of year. It's a little chillier near the ocean. It was in the low 70's today but the humidity and clouds made it a little chilly. Hopefully the sun will shine more tomorrow as we hope to spend some more time at the beach. Wednesday we plan to go to the San Diego Zoo, and Thursday is the Cabrilla National Monument. I'll try to post more photos as the week progresses.

Getting Ready for Cali!

This weekend we'll be heading to California for the week. We'll leave early Sunday and return next Friday. We're heading to the San Diego/Carlsbad area to visit Legoland, hit some beaches, and other various things. It'll be the first time the kids get to see and experience the ocean. Should be fun!
