It's so cool to see your kids enter into new milestones! It's fun to hear their first words, see their first steps, and see the little light bulbs go on when something new clicks inside. Recently, Gavin decided to start reading. It kind of took Sara and I by surprise because we haven't worked with him that much in relation to reading. We've read to him a lot and he knows how to write letters, but he just starting figuring out how to piece the letters together to form words.
This book he is reading is about 20 pages long, and he read about 80% of it his 2nd time through. Granted, some of it you can figure out by the pictures and some pieces of it could be memorized, but many of the words were sounded out on his own which is so fun to see.
Both Gavin and Aubri love books. I hope they continue their love for books and knowledge as they grow older.
